I am a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) and Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with a Masters Degree (MA) in Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy from Wilfrid Laurier University. I’ve been practicing since 2013 and have experience providing psychotherapy across Ontario within community agencies, non-profit organizations, and Community Health Centres. I have over 3000 direct clinical hours of experience and more than 500 hours of accredited professional development activity and supervision.

My practice is evidence-based, with extensive post-graduate training in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy,  and Motivational Interviewing, among others.

My approach to psychotherapy and counselling relies upon careful listening skills: tuning in to each person’s unique capacity for insight, change, and fresh perspective. From my training as a marriage and family therapist I also bring a deep understanding of relationships, with a primary focus on the underlying emotional factors that promote healthy and loving connection.

I have trained specifically for the work of psychotherapy at the undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate level, with programs dedicated to “in vivo” experiences; which means my expertise does not only come from textbooks, but from deep self-reflective practices and lived experiences of authentic therapeutic encounters.

I put great value on authentic and engaging experiences and spend rigorous amounts of time and energy ensuring I continue to learn and grow as a professional and as a person.
